October Count Week is October 1st- 5th, 2012:

The Ohio Department of Education designates this week of the school year as “Count Week” for Ohio schools. During this week, daily student attendance is recorded and reported to the state. The attendance numbers are used to determine how much state funding money local districts will receive for the year. Schools receive “credit” for every student who attends during Count Week. Unexcused absences and vacation absences cause a reduction in funding.
If an absence is unavoidable, please remember to report your child’s absence to the school on the day of the absence and send a written excuse or doctor’s note on the following day.

Thank you in advance for 100% attendance during Count Week!
Your child’s attendance in school is very important!
