Mrs. Walker’s Tiger Bites- Week of January 9th:

Happy Saturday to Amelia Families!

Attendance:  I want to thank everyone for working hard to get students to school on time each morning.  As you know, attendance is a critical factor in any child’s school success.  Children should attend school every day, except in cases of illness or emergency.  It is impossible to replace the learning that happens on any school day with make-up work.  Regular attendance and promptness are good habits are good habits that are expected and appreciated at all levels of schooling and in the workplace.  For the second part of this school year, make school attendance a priority in your household.

Arrival & Dismissal:   Please check that your student has their book-bag and dismissal tag each morning.  This has been an issue for dismissal during the past week… I think everyone is still in vacation mode!  J  Also, I ask that everyone drives slowly and carefully on school driveways and side streets (Church and Chapel).  We have many students and families walking to and from school.  Please be cautious and safe.

Kindergarten:  This week Tuesday/Thursday kindergarten students will attend school on Friday
There is NO SCHOOL on Monday, January 16^th in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
